Who we are
Desert Hydrovac is a family-owned and operated company founded on the belief that excavation and utility work can—and should—be done more safely and more precisely. After many years working within our family’s excavation company, we saw firsthand the risks and challenges that come with traditional digging methods, especially when working around buried utilities and critical infrastructure. As our community continued to grow, so did the need for a safer, more controlled approach.
That experience led us to bring hydro-excavation services to the area, offering contractors, homeowners, municipalities, and utility providers a reliable alternative that minimizes damage and improves jobsite safety. Using pressurized water and vacuum systems, we’re able to expose underground utilities with accuracy while protecting surrounding soil, structures, and existing lines.
In addition to hydro-excavation, we provide a range of specialized services, including storm drain and culvert cleaning, private utility locating, storage and water tank cleaning, car wash grit trap (mud pit) cleaning, etc. These services play a critical role in maintaining infrastructure, preventing flooding and blockages, and extending the life of underground systems. Our hydrovac-based approach allows us to safely remove sediment, debris, and buildup without damaging pipes, tanks, or surrounding property.
Our company also brings unique expertise in primary and secondary conduit proofing, supported by the owner’s background as a journeyman lineman. This experience provides a deep understanding of electrical systems, utility standards, and the importance of protecting energized and non-energized infrastructure. Because of this, we are especially qualified to work around electrical conduits and utility corridors where precision and safety are critical.
At Desert Hydrovac, our commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and reliable service is at the core of everything we do. We take pride in helping our clients complete projects efficiently while protecting people, property, and vital infrastructure—today and for years to come.
